Position Title: County Nurse Manager (Clinch)
Paygrade: N, O
Location: Homerville, GA
Description of Duties: Under limited supervision, develops and manages day-to-day operations of a population-based program of Nursing and other clinical services in a County Public Health Department. Provides overall management and administrative guidance for specifically assigned programs, assesses educational and programmatic needs; develops policies; collaborates with other health care providers in the provision of services to target populations. Develops clinic schedules and supervise staff; work with county and city governments; Emergency Preparedness. Duties include work of considerable difficulty requiring independent professional judgment, experience, and skills. Collection of COVID-19 specimens from individuals presenting for COVID-19 test. This may include the use of the following specimen collection types: oropharyngeal swab, nasal mid-turbinate swab, anterior nares swab, nasopharyngeal wash/aspirate, saliva collection, and nasal aspirate. This would also include any additional appropriate specimen collection types and/or vaccinations for diseases related to a declared public health emergency.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Three years of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing, Public Administration, Public Health, or a closely related field.
